Castles

Castles are romantic, mysterious, and hold so much history
that it is no wonder we fantasize about them!
Here is a bit of information about the real castles that
I've used in my stories!
I hope you enjoy them just as much as I have!

To read more about these castles,
click on the name and you will be taken to one of
numerous websites about that particular Keep.

Dunnottar Castle - Scotland
This castles sits atop an ocean side cliff proudly keeping watch
over her Scottish shores!
Now laying mainly in ruins, she once stood as
the home of the Earls Marischals.
Dunnottar lends itself as the setting to
"Ghosts of the Past."

Dunstaffnage Castle - Scotland
One of Scotland's oldest stone castles,
it sits prominently at the south-west entrance of the Loch Etive!
In
"Her Highland Destiny", it serves as the home to Iain MacAlister.

Odescalchi Castle - Italy
This picturesque fortress is just a stones throw from
Rome and overlooks Bracciano Lake.
In
"Giovanni's Angel," Isabel meets Giovanni for a romantic interlude
in this fairytale setting.

Rochester Castle - England
This proud Norman style castle was mentioned
in the Domesday Book in 1086.
Rochester is so rich in history that I am seriously
considering putting in one of my up coming books!
It has graced the cover of  my debut book
"
Her Highland Destiny."

Urquhart Castle - Scotland
Although most of the castle is in ruins today,
at one time Urquhart was once Scotland's largest strongholds.
Which of course enticed
Edward Longshanks, the King of England.
In
"Her Highland Destiny,"
Urquhart holds the key to introducing Kenna and Iain.
